There have been two great revelations in my life. The first was bebop, the second was homeopathy.

Homeopathy cures a greater percentage of cases than any other method of treatment.

Homoeopathy has been practised for nearly 250 years. It offers help with a broad range of conditions, from frequent infections, through to many chronic or recurring illnesses.

What Problems Can Homoeopathy Help?

Homoeopathy considers the condition of the whole person, not only their symptoms or illness. It therefore has the potential to help a range of problems, from repeated infections such as tonsillitis, cystitis, or otitis media, through to ongoing complaints, such as anxiety, irritable bowel syndrome, menstrual problems, depression, infertility, migraines, panic attacks, insomnia, arthritis, hypertension, and much more.

Homoeopathy can be of Particular Benefit if...

  • You have ‘never been well since…’ an accident, injury, trauma or emotional upset
  • Your physical ailments seem to be connected with an emotional problem
  • You have no conventional diagnosis for your condition

Homoeopathy can also be offered in situations of acute shock, grief, and physical or emotional trauma.

    Homoeopathy and Children

Babies may respond quickly to homoeopathy, and homoeopathic remedies may help with colic, teething and nappy rash. Homoeopathy may also offer rapid relief in acute complaints such as fevers.

Other early childhood complaints which may be helped by homoeopathy include sleep problems, digestive troubles, recurrent infections (e.g. tonsillitis or ear infections), asthma and eczema (reducing the need for conventional medication), as well as behavioural problems such as attention deficit disorder, temper tantrums, severe shyness and anxiety.

Homoeopathy may also help children who are angry, unhappy or frightened; who accept change with difficulty or who suffer symptoms during their natural growth and development.

Homoeopathy may be used to support a new mother and baby in the first few months of the baby’s life, gently assisting with any problems which may arise during this period.

    Seeing a Homoeopath

The homoeopathic consultation is conversation based, exploring your experience of your symptoms. This together with discussion of your general health and lifestyle contributes to the understanding your homoeopath needs to prescribe a homoeopathic remedy for you.

The first homoeopathic consultation lasts approximately 1½ hours, with subsequent consultations approximately 30 – 45 minutes. Initial appointments are generally scheduled at approximately 4 weekly intervals, but will be needed less frequently as treatment progresses.

Improvement is often experienced quite rapidly after a homeopathic remedy, especially if the symptoms are fairly recent. Longer term conditions generally require more ongoing care. Initially it is a perhaps a good idea to consider seeing a homoeopath two or three times over the course of about four months. This will allow enough time for you and your homoeopath to make a realistic assessment of your response to remedies and of the potential of the homoeopathy to help you.

What Benefits can be Expected from Seeing a Homoeopath?

A greater ability to cope with the stresses of daily life and better resistance to ill health, together with specific improvements in physical and mental health have all been witnessed in patients taking homoeopathic remedies.
